Originally founded in Wilmington, NC, 26 years ago, Southeastern Tile Connection has since expanded into Durham, NC, and now proudly opens the doors to its Mills River showroom and warehouse. The company began operating in Western North Carolina in the summer of 2023 from a temporary location before moving into its current space in September 2024.
A family- and veteran-owned business, Southeastern Tile Connection is rooted in service, integrity, and a commitment to quality. The Mills River location currently employs a full design and warehouse team, with continued growth underway as the company expands its presence in the region.
“The people of Mills River and the greater WNC region have been incredibly welcoming,” said Mike Nichols. “We’re honored to be part of this community and look forward to continuing to serve with quality, creativity, and heart.”
Following Hurricane Helene, the Mills River team transformed neighboring warehouse space into a Hurricane Relief Distribution Center, providing essential supplies and logistical support for several months to multiple churches, foundations, and residents across the most impacted areas.
“We stayed open even without power or water, doing business the best we could, because that’s what our community needed,” Mike Nichols added. “Helping during the recovery was one of the most important things we’ve done.”
