Sharon Henderson

I began in the business 30 years ago with a large national tile manufacturing company. The showroom was where I began, and then I was able to move into other positions within that company. In November of 1998, we opened Southeastern Tile – a place where we sourced tiles from around the world. The past years with Southeastern Tile have been very rewarding. We strive daily to help out clients complete their dream projects. Southeastern Tile has been fortunate to work not only on residential projects but also on some commercial projects as well. When I receive a phone call from a client to let me know how satisfied she was with the designer and the project went so well and was completed just as she had envisioned… that makes my day. We all then understand why we do what we do each and everyday.

Favorite Trend:

Right now the printed tiles are one of my favorite trends. Some are porcelain and some of the printed tiles are concrete. They present your space with color & design and can add so much to a powder room, a laundry space, or really any area where color is desired. They will truly make a statement. Believing they are really a classic look, these tiles are easily paired with a home whoʼs look is more modern just adding a flair perhaps to a small space.

Inspo:

When gleaning info for a client or just visiting trends in the tile world, Houzz is a wonderful source. Often magazines show well. Using magazines whether the they tend more traditional or modern show room scenes and often surrounding rooms which will help a client consider how rooms flow together.

What they do at SE Tile:

Our job at Southeastern Tile is to work with the client and visualize their space either through pictures or plans, and show them ways to work with different tiles and patterns to achieve their vision.
